Stuart M Pearson

Stuart Middleton Pearson, 93, passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family August 12, 2017 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was born May 13, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York to William Thomas Pearson and Elizabeth Potter-Pearson. Stuart was a graduate of Kings Point Academy. After graduating, he went on to proudly serve our country as a Merchant Marine. He was a past member of the VFW Lodge 0407 of Westlake and a Mason at Lodge 228, also out of Westlake. Stuart was an avid Dodger’s fan and loved watching all of their games.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Pearson; his first wife, Helen Mae Ellender; second wife, Billie Joyce Plant Ellender; daughters, Rose Helen Morgan and Barbara Sue Clements; sons, Johnson Paul Pearson and Marian Levi Pearson; sister, Nancy Pearson Hecht and by his grandchild, Delaine Bluebird. Stuart is survived by his daughter, Judy Pielow; son, Tommy Ellender and wife Linda; daughter-in-law, Sally Pearson; 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers will be David Scott Morgan, Jonathan Pearson, Dakota Morgan, Woodrow Clendennen, Bryon Miller and Jacob Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Christi Crane, Tommy Pearson, Cheri Strickland, Gene Morgan Jr, Jo Ann Rios, Bill Morgan, Annette Morgan, Sissy Williams, Stuart Miller, Stephenie Fontenot, Stuart Pearson II, Ricky Pearson, Kathleen Pearson, Cynthia Scheufens, Barry Biffle, Jennifer Axtens, Chris Ellender and Anthony Ellender. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southern Home Health and Dr. Jody George for providing such loving and attentive care to Stuart and his family.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery of Sulphur. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and resuming at 9:00 a.m. the day of the funeral at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
