Thelma Mae Jones McGinnis

Westlake, La -Thelma Mae Jones McGinnis, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Guardian House.

She was born in Shelby, NC,. and was a resident in Westlake, La for over 50 years. She was an Operator at the Textile Mill. She was also a member of Gateway Church of God. She loved to travel, sew and cook .She loved her family dearly, and enjoyed making blankets among other things.

Survivors include her son Gordon "Eddie" McGinnis and wife Terri of Westlake, her son Dean McGinnis and his wife Karen of MossBluff, her daughter Frances Tuttle and her husband Lee of Westlake, she has 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren one on the way. She is preceded in death by her father Edd McGee Jones, mother Ollie Frances Green and her husband Gordon "Cab" Calvin McGinnis ,her Brother Delbert Jones, her brother Wray Jones and one sister Jeanette Jones. Also by her loving sister-in-law Helen Jones.

Her visitation will be at 5p.m. until 9p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Gateway Church of God and will resume at 9a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 until her Funeral Service. Her Funeral Service will be Monday, June 30, at 11a.m. at Gateway Church of God. Rev .Charlie Willis officiating along with Pastor Richard Watson.
