Thelton Calvert Kile, 86, of Blue Ridge, Georgia went home to be with his heavenly Father at 8:20 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was greeted by his wife, his parents, and many other family members. He was a Godly man and by virtue of his daily walk with God, he instilled in his children a love for his Savior.
Born to Otis Allen Kile and Lela Cedars Kile, he lived in Westlake, Louisiana for more than 50 years and in Montgomery, Texas for 20 years. He often reminisced about his life growing up in Kisatchie, Louisiana and his many adventures with his cousins from youth through his college years. At home in the kitchen, he was known for his superb cooking skills and his love for food. He loved to sing hymns and even though he didn’t always remember the words, he lifted his voice in song to his Lord. He had a great sense of humor and brought laughter to many.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Elizabeth Kile, and his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his four daughters, Robyn Kile Fuselier of Clear Lake, Texas, Allyson Kile Daughdril (Ben) of The Woodlands, Texas, Joanna Le Kile of Rancho Viejo, Texas, and Carrie Kile Cook (Clint) of Port Charlotte, Florida; his son, Thelton C. “Cal” Kile, Jr. (Paula) of Ellijay, Georgia; his brother-in-law, Cornelius Rhea Wheeler, Jr. (Debbie) of Houston, Texas; his six grandchildren, Austin Lane Daughdril, Haley Erin Daughdril, Morris Hayden Fuselier, Kathryn Elizabeth Kile, Kollyn Ruth Kile, and Lauren Lyn Cook; his four great grandchildren who were the light of his life, Eva Christine Reyes, Hayden Christian Fuselier, Elena Joan Reyes, and Layla Ruth Kile; his niece, Carley Wheeler Ricciardi (David) of The Woodlands, Texas; and his sister-in-law, Rhonda Miller Wheeler of The Woodlands, Texas.
Visitation is 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9 at Hixson & Sons Funeral Home in Westlake, Louisiana. Burial will immediately follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Long-time friend Hugh Wallis will officiate.
