Thomas John Fletcher Jr.

Thomas John Fletcher Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on May 23, 2026, at the age of 77. Thomas was born on October 19, 1948, in Jennings, Louisiana to Thomas John Fletcher Sr. and Joyce Hetzel Fletcher. He was a resident of Westlake, Louisiana.

Thomas proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and worked as a Mechanical Specialist for Boardwalk Pipelines and Sasol. He was a basketball and football star at Westlake High School. He loved to hunt with his 2 brothers, watching NASCAR, taking Cruises with his wife, and spending time with family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Jean Gray Fletcher; step-sons, Jimmy Young of Washington D.C., Derek Young, and Jamet Young of Houston, TX; brothers, Byron Fletcher and his wife, Debbie and Stuart Fletcher and his wife, Kim; thirteen nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charlie Miller officiating. Thomas will be laid to rest in Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
