Patrick was a man of remarkable intelligence and talent—a true master of many trades. He could fix anything and had a special gift for building trucks from the ground up. He also enjoyed working on and modifying chainsaws and spending time boating on the river with his beloved wife, Jessica. Known for his quick wit and love of movie quotes, Patrick could always bring laughter to those around him.
Music was another of his many passions. A gifted singer, skilled guitarist, and drummer. Patrick shared his talent as a member of the band Until Death. He also cherished time spent with family and loved traveling, especially to Lake Ouachita, Arkansas, one of his favorite places. He was a proud father to his son Carter and loved attending his various events. He also loved his dogs.
Though shy when first meeting new people, Patrick quickly became a loyal and true friend—once you knew him, you were family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jessica Duplechin; his father, Wayne Duplechin Sr. and wife Natalie; his mother, Sue McMillin and husband Hal of Westlake; his son, Carter Meche and mother Shana; his brothers, Mark “Boone” McMillin and wife Fallon of Westlake, and Chris Acheson and wife Julie of Lake Charles; his sisters, Amy Manning and husband Dean of Lake Charles, Sarah Paugh and husband Alex of Sulphur, and Marsha Palmer and husband Jake of Houston, Texas.
