Wilma Mae "Pete" Johnston

Westlake- On Sunday, March 22, 2014, God opened His arms to welcome His child, Wilma Mae "Pete" Johnston to her heavenly home. Mrs. Johnston passed away at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.

Her Home-Going Service will be 3pm Monday, March 24, in Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Dr. Wayne McIntyre and Rev. Frank Hensley will officiate. Visitation is from 5-9pm Sunday, March 23 and will resume Monday 9am until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Westlake Memorial Park.

"Pete" was a lifetime resident of Westlake and was married to the love of her life Albert H. Johnston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandsons, and her parents, Betty and Leon Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Wade G. Johnston and wife, Sandra of Westlake and Bob Lyn Johnston of Oakdale; one daughter, Virginia Sue Abshire and husband, Larry of Westlake; 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
