Anthony "Tony" J. Batkiewicz

Anthony "Tony" Joseph Batkiewicz, age 68, of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. Beloved husband of Christine (nee Hamski). Devoted father of Karen, Daniel (Kristy), Cynthia (Jerry) Hawks, Timothy (Lisa), and Brian (April). Cherished grandfather of Preston, MacKenzie, Kingston, Bella, Madalyn, Chloe, Harrison, Basha, Sophia, Fiona, Henry, Rex, Bowie, and Maximus. Dearest brother of Mary Ann Palmentera (deceased), Teresa Batkiewicz Corso (Charles), and JoAnn DePolo (Richard). Loving uncle and friend of many.

Tony was born in the Tremont area of Cleveland, Ohio. He attended grade school at St. John Cantius and graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1973. Tony had a long, successful career as a Master Automotive Technician and Manager. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. Tony loved feeding people and making breakfast at the homeless shelter. He was dedicated to continuing family traditions, especially teaching family and friends how to make the perfect pierogi. He had a captivating personality and brightened every room with his sense of humor. Tony was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Avon Lake. He lived his faith and stressed the importance of praying for others.

A visitation for Tony will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, OH 44145. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake, OH 44012.
