Dr. Chaudhry was such a kind-hearted, compassionate, warm, and caring man who always had a smile for everyone. He was also a joy to work with as I had the pleasure and privilege to do so for many years at the Moll Cancer Center. I especially enjoyed working with him on the Cancer Symposiums. Dr. Chaudhry was not only an awesome physician, but an excellent teacher/mentor as well!

I met Dr. Chaudhry in August 1989 when he diagnosed me with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I went to see him only for a second opinion. His warmth, compassion and genuine concern made me realize he was the doctor for me. He helped me when my cancer returned in 1993 and with a bone marrow transplant. We kept in touch for 31 years. He saved my life twice. I loved him as a doctor, teacher, healer and dear friend. Rest In Peace.

It was with great sadness I read about the passing of Asif. We were colleagues for over 40 years. He was a true gentleman, excellent physician, and wonderful human being. He created the cancer center at Fairview Hospital and built it into one of the leading community cancer centers in the Greater Cleveland area. His passing represents a huge loss for the oncology community in Cleveland. I shall always cherish our collaboration and the moments I spent with Asif. My condolences go to Melanie and Asif's children and grandchildren.

Dr. Chaudhry will always be an inspiration to me. As a young resident physician, he made me comfortable enough to ask him how he didn't become saddened dealing with so many patients struggling with incurable illnesses. His answer changed my life. Asif reminded me that no one lives forever, but many are taken suddenly from their time on earth with no warning and no opportunity to...go on that vacation, right previous wrongs, or tell someone that they loved them. Dr. Chaudhry felt uniquely privileged to give his patients some realistic view of their future and the gift to make the best of it...a message that I have tried to carry on with his memory.

I owe my life to Dr. Chaudhry.
In 1985 i became sick with Leukemia. Even though there was little hope for my recovery he never gave up trying to cure me. He took many calls in the middle of the night to talk the nurses through one crisis after another. I am so grateful for the wonderful life I have had thanks to Dr. Chaudhry. Every five years I tried to bring flowers to say thank you. This year I sent a picture and I was so happy for the nice note I received in return.
Forever grateful for my life.

I just want to thank Dr. Chaudhry's family for sharing him with his patients and their families. He took care of my father, Oscar Kives for many years and was so compassionate with him and our family when he treated him for Leukemia in 1994.
He was also my doctor while he was still handling Internal Medicine patients at Fairview Hospital and will be forever grateful for him.
Thank you,
