As a family friend of the Blackburns, I had the pleasure of knowing Brian and his dear family. I remember when Kathy was here from Texas, we all met at Cafe Melissa for breakfast. Brian was such a loving and dedicated father. My sincere sympathies and I will continue to keep Jennifer, the girls and Brian's family in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with a heavy heart that I say how sad we are for your family. The 3 of you were his earthly angels and now he is your heavenly angel. May the God of peace bring you comfort that only he can bring. I pray that the 3 of you feel the love of your dad and husband all around you. As his light will always live on within each one of you.

My academy classmate, my co-worker at D2....I have sat in the background praying for you and your family as you fought so hard to beat your biggest enemy. I prayed hard for a miracle for you, for your wife, for your beautiful girls and I wish now that I had prayed harder. I asked God to spare you, to let you be here with your family forever, to let you continue to be the great person you were here on this earth. I guess the big man had bigger and better plans for you HERO, plans none of us could see, plans bigger than we are. You will be missed by soooo many that called you friend, brother , amigo and most importantly hubby and dad! My heart aches for your family and now I will pray hard for peace, strength and tranquility for them. Rest easy in God's loving arms and make sure you make the big guy laugh like you made so many of us do! We will miss you, we will never forget you and we will take care of your family ! With love and prayers.

It's hard to find words that even come close to a loss that is this devastating. I hope you and the girls can try and find some comfort knowing that you are not alone - you are surrounded by so many that love you. We are always here for you, whatever you need, whenever you need it. We love y'all so much. ❤
