I had a friend you'd like to know.
Her birth name was Cynthia Quo.
True friends are sometimes hard to find,
But sweet Cindy became a friend of mine.

Of my dear friend, I could tell lots of things.
It's that lasting joy that friendship brings.
Of all the friends I've ever met,
Cindy is one you'll never forget.

She was funny in the best way one can be,
Made a dark day sparkle, bring out the glee.
With Cindy, everything was fun.
She spread sunshine ,was God's chosen one.

Now, remembering your 70's and all the things you'd do!
How lucky to have found a friend like you!
Remember the hundreds of sand dollars swept ashore?
You buried them all in the mud so they'd live some more.

The raft ride in Idaho was a hoot with old friends tried and true.
You giggled, bounced up and down with youth renew.
Hair turns gray but friendship stands the test.
You, my friend, were the best!

Now, may your kindness catch my parting sigh,
Your lovely memories fill my heart and close my weeping eye. 
God has an angel to brighten his smile,
Cause Cindy will sit and talk awhile.

Cindy's genuine presence, along with her wisdom, humor, insight, and encouragement enriched our many conversations while breaking bread at Joe's Restaurant!  Following my initial meeting and dialogue with Cindy at Joe's a couple of years ago, we had become friends.  Weekly dinner, while seated at the bar, became somewhat a sacrament -- a sacred time to nourish not only the body, but the mind and soul, too. It was an occasion to commune with a fellow-traveler on this journey called life, and remember those stories which molded and become the fabric of our lives; discuss current happenings; and even exchange hazy visions of the path yet to be traveled. We would discuss everything from the mundane to the celestial, sprinkled with a healthy dose of laughter, and sometimes a tiny bit of sarcasm!   
Thank you, Cindy, for your cherished friendship, and for your generous doses of encouragement, praise, and appreciation!  Thank you for creating space for the human spirit to grow; for your ability to bond with others; and for connecting with that which gives life meaning!

To know her was to love her. As one of my only two first cousins, I can tell you that from the time she was born she twisted everyone around her little finger. She brought laughter, fun, mischief, love. How we looked forward to the yearly visits when she and Sylvia came to the farm. Everyday was an adventure when they arrived. My friends became her friends. . . . she had that way of captivating and caring. So pretty. . . .so vivacious. . . .our growing up years as cousins was so special! She loved my dad, "Uncle Erie", and my mom, "Aunt Libby". And they loved her. I guess, being an only child, Cynthia and Sylvia filled a special place in my life. A real special love of family togetherness. She brought light into so many lives! Even though we weren't together in these last years, I always knew I had a very special cousin. . . . . Cynthia.

Dear Tim and family--how Cindy loved her family and valued them.  You were all the light of her life.  Her Hiram "gals" will truly miss her.

Cindy was a sweet dear friend at Hiram College and remained a close friend for 55 years. Losing a loved one is losing an intimate part of oneself, one's precious memories which are like no other. I will miss her kindness and our many telephone calls but oh, those wonderful cherished memories of my dear friend, I will always have! , Please know, Timothy, you and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers. Cindy's greatest joy was the time spent with you, Dara, Wesley, Andrew and little Fiona. I am truly blessed to have had Cindy as a friend.  Loved her and will miss her, Nora Sue Allen Cronin
