I wanted to express our deepest sympathies for your loss. Our team at Simmers Crane enjoyed working with Greg and will miss his smile and personality.  He was always in good spirits and was easy to work with and be around.

We are so so saddened to learn of Greg’s unexpected and sudden  passing. Greg was a very large presence in our lives starting with Matt and Greg’s years at St. Ed’s and going forward.  I remember between their Jr-Sr summer they both had football injury repairs at the CCF and then both came back to our house as they wanted to recover together initially:-).  The picture that you shared of Greg, Doug K., Jimmy G. and Matt is a fond memory from Matt’s wedding.

I met Greg when he and his family moved into the neighborhood in 3rd grade.  He lived two doors down “through the backyards” and we went to St. Richard's together.  I remember playing Baseball in the Cul-de-sac in front of Greg’s house in the summer, swimming , playing football or any other sport we could, and walking around our neighborhood which we thought was “so big”.   I remember going to Brown’s games and sitting through the infamous Red Right 88 with Greg and his Dad, who we somehow convinced to take us to the game even though it was a below zero wind chill.  I remember whenever we got in a little mischief how funny it was trying to see if Greg’s Dad or my Mom would accept our “selective version” of the facts.  I remember playing basketball growing up with Greg and with his Cousin Frank any place we could find a basket and that whenever Greg made a great move or shot he always would say “Campy”  with this huge grin.   A lot of  firsts as we grew up  trying to meet girls, going to Blossom Music Center and having to push my old car to “pop the clutch” so we could get home.   Late night drive thru food in the summer and after St. Ed's games.  Greg knew my wife Michelle before I did.  I remember how hard he worked and how disciplined he was as an Athlete to “walk on” at BG and letter in Football.  We lived together one summer after College.   We saw each other get married and I had “shots” with Greg and his Dad at my wedding reception.  We  watched each other became Fathers and gained an even greater appreciation for our own parents. No matter what was going on with him, Greg could always make you laugh. I will remember talking to Greg a few weeks ago.   I am  grateful to have known Greg and to have been called his friend.  My deepest sympathies to his Daughter, Mia, the entire Glassco family and Greg’s many other friends.  You left us way to soon!  Rest in Peace my friend!

This is hard to write because this is hard to believe.  I grew up and went to school with Greg.   We played  football at St. Richard’s together and , along with Mark and Tom as fellow lineman, continued onto St. Ed’s for high school and  more football.  During those years, we all became brothers.  Greg  was hard working, dedicated and an absolute blast to be around!  Greg and I roomed together and played football at Edinboro the first year of college and I was able to see a different side, a very determined side. Greg. suffered a season ending injury but during that down time, he became determined to make something better of this situation. The injury may have taken him one step back but, true to form with Greg, he took many steps forward by recovering, becoming better and stronger, and moving on to have a successful career on and off the field at Bowling Green and beyond.   This is sad because it’s too soon. But I thank God to have known Greg and will now cherish those memories.  May God bless Greg’s parents, sisters and family in this difficult time. You are in our prayers. 

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Greg. He was always a positive and upbeat student and a leader to all of his teammates. His outgoing and welcoming personality made him well liked and respected by the coaches as well as the players. You could never have a bad day as long as Greg was around. He worked hard at football and made himself an outstanding player, both at St. Edward and at Bowling Green. You always knew he had a tremendous amount of respect for his parents and his whole family. He will be missed by us all. Rest in Peace Greg.

God called Greg home.  We are all in agreement that this happened too soon, but that is not up to us.  We must give thanks for the time we spent with Greg – his life influenced many friends and his family.  I first met Greg in 8th grade when my family moved to North Olmsted, Ohio.  We were classmates and football teammates at St. Richard School.  We transitioned to St. Edward High School together with several other friends from our parish.  We share the unique bond that is St. Edward Football and all that it entails.  I wish Greg’s family peace during this difficult time.  Keep your faith, carry on with your tasks, and we will see Greg again.

Like Tom Zullo, I was a St. Richard friend of Greg who was a few years older than me but got to play football with him at St. Ed's.  Greg was instrumental in helping me transition from JCU to BGSU and let me live with him and Fitz in their Senior Year with many fond memories.  So glad to see he had such a successful Electrical Engineering career but very sorry to learn of his passing so young.  May he rest in peace and please know the entire Glassco Family is in our thoughts and prayers. 

So many great memories with Greg. St.Richard’s football, St.Ed’s football and wrestling. Laughs and fun. He was just a good guy on so many levels. He makes me recall many first as a young guy and that he was dedicated to athletics and being a friend. Big smile. Big laugh. When I think of the “guys” he is definitely in the line-up of how I see my years around him. He will be missed and remembered always. Friend and brother.
