She loved the daily activities of exercising, bible study, bingo, beauty shop (hair and nails), music, and special parties. Herb Taylor said “I'll never forget how she smiled when you passed by her in the hallway or in the dining room. Her smile lit up the room and your heart. Also, loved seeing her after bingo as she moved down the hallway, taking candy or cookies, she won down to Jim. She would break them into small pieces so he could enjoy eating it.”
Gabbi McKillups said "She was like another mother to many of the employees and even residents. We all looked up to her for advice and she was always there for a shoulder to lean on. If I was having a bad day, she knew right away and would talk with me and try and cheer me up. She had the most amazing caring heart and so many words of wisdom. She was literally the rock of the nursing home. The queen. I will miss her stories, and every piece of advice and compliments she gave me will never be taken for granted of forgotten ❤️ your mother was the most beautiful woman inside and out. She was hip and had the cutest style. She encouraged us to eat and be healthy. She just made work a better place."
She loved taking care of herself and husband by exercising, eating healthy, dressing beautifully, caring and loving everyone. She was a classy lady with a great sense of humor.
