He was the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (nee Henisch) Hill; loving husband of 50 years to Karen (nee Carpenter); loving father of David (Linda), Douglas and the late Christine; dear brother of Michael (Diana) Hill, Jeffrey Hill and Suzan (Michael, deceased) Smith; son-in-law of Sybil Carpenter and the late Edward Carpenter; brother-in-law of Kevin (Jill) Carpenter and Alan Carpenter; uncle of many; godfather of Matthew Smith.
He was an ex-Golden Gloves boxer and became a proud member of the Ohio State Former Boxers and Associates, carrying his legacy in the ring with honor and strength. Known for his lively spirit, he loved to have a good time and was always ready with a joke to bring laughter to those around him. A hardworking and dedicated provider, he took great pride in caring for his family. More than a friend, he was a mentor to many, offering guidance, encouragement, and support to all who looked up to him.
Visitation will be held at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, located at 23040 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, OH 44145, on October 17, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St Raphael Catholic Church, 525 Dover Center Rd, Bay Village, OH 44140, on October 18, 2025, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, Ohio.
