

MARIE CECELIA (McMANAMON) LILLEY, a native of greater Cleveland all of her life, passed away on April 17 at the age of 88. Born Nov-ember 15, 1926, of Patrick and Cecelia McManamon, she was the youngest of six children. She is preceded in death by her brothers Hugh, Jim, Pat and Francis, and survived by her sister, Anne Kilbane. She is now reunited with the love of her life, her late husband, Eugene M. Lilley. Although she had no children of her own, for more than four decades she opened her heart and her beautiful home in Lakewood to Gene's six children and their families. Marie, a graduate of West High School, had a career in clerical work which included the Federal Reserve Bank and The Cleveland Board of Education from which she retired. Proud of her Irish Catholic heritage, she loved traveling, home decoration and reading. Marie will be dearly missed by her sister Anne; sister-in-law, Marilyn; her stepchildren and their families; all of her nieces and nephews; and her friends and caregivers at St. Mary of the Woods Assisted Living Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, April 22nd, 11AM St. Mary of the Woods Chapel 35755 Detroit Road, Avon where the family will receive friends 10AM until time of service.
