Michael D. Piazza

Michael D. Piazza (Mike), 50, and his daughter Sophia R. Piazza, 16, of Boynton Beach, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 6, 1971, Michael was raised by his mother and grandparents in North Olmsted, Ohio. After high school, Mike served in the US Navy as a reservist. Mike had a lifelong career in retail management, most recently as an Assistant Sales Manager at Office Depot in Boca Raton, Florida. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, especially the Browns, and never wavered in his support for his beloved hometown team.Mike is survived by his wife, Sarah; brother, Jeffrey (Amber) Piazza; sister, Jennifer (David) Fisher; stepson, Adam (Shannon) Yee; stepdaughters, Elizabeth Yee and Alexa Yee; grandson, Miles; granddaughter, Isabelle; cousin, Monika (Jaye) Piazza, whom he thought of as a sister; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen, and maternal grandparents.Sophia was born in Lakewood, Ohio and grew up in Plainfield, Illinois. She moved with her parents to Boynton Beach in 2014. A junior at Park Vista Community High School, Sophia enjoyed photographing sunsets, all things Disney, and K-Pop music. Above all, she loved spending time with family, friends, and her cats.Sophia is survived by her mother, Sarah; brother, Adam (Shannon) Yee; sisters, Elizabeth Yee and Alexa Yee; nephew, Miles; niece, Isabelle; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her great-grandmother. Family will recieve friends Saturday October 2, 2021 from 2-5pm at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, Ohio 44145. There wiil be an open microphone at 4pm for those who wish to share their love and thoughts.
