

Severina was a devout catholic and matriarch who devoted her life to her family. She came from the Philippines with her late husband, Dr Jaime S. Veloira who passed away in 2008. They raised 6 wonderful children in Warrensville heights, North Olmsted and finally Westlake, Ohio. She is a retired associate from JC Penney's jewelry department at Great Northern who cared for each of her customers as if they were her own family.
Born on Aug 8, 1933- she was the daughter of Estanislao and Rosalina Laban Nepomuceno. She was the eldest sister to Felicidad Diores, Aurea Ramirez, the late Herminio Nepomuceno and honorary sister, Chic Robles.
Loving mother ("Ma") to Grace Minier (James), Theresa Castel, Christina Veloira, Lissa LoSchiavo (Mark), Janette Hostettler (Robert) and Joey Veloira (Sean). She taught her children that family “togetherness” is always the most important.
She was a sweet and generous grandmother ("Ama") to Robert Castel III, Jordan Castel, Daniel Castel, Samuel Hostettler, Kristina Minier, Nicholas LoSchiavo, Noah Hostettler, Anna Minier, Emma Hostettler and Anthony (AJ) LoSchiavo. They all loved her Filipino cooking like pansit, okoy and ube ice cream.
And Great- grandmother to Grady Castel, Jaden Castel and Cora Castel. Her family will continue to teach new generations about her loving ways.
She will be missed dearly but leaves with the fondest of memories, a beautiful legacy and a piece of her in each one of the family members. She finally has joined her husband, Jaime, dancing in the heavens to “From Here to Eternity”.
Family will receive friends in the Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home 23040 Center Ridge Rd. Westlake Monday 1/17 6-8pm and Tuesday 1/18 9:30 until time of mass.
Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 18th at St Bernadette Church 2256 Clague Rd at 11 AM
