Susan was preceded in death by her beloved parents Bela Vas and Elizabeth Vas (Palinkas) and her brother Attila Vas. She is survived by her brother Miklos (Piroska) Vas, her loving sons John Halmos and Joseph (Molly) Stottner and her cherished grandchildren Sarah, David, and Alexander Stottner. Susan was also the dear aunt of Susan and Attila (Andrea) and a great aunt of five.
Susan came to the United States of America with high hopes and she spent 42 years helping others at St. John's Hospital. She maintained the best garden in the neighborhood. Susan was a woman of strong convictions and was always there for a friend. She will be greatly missed by many loving family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 6PM to 8PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, OH 44145. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11AM at St. Christopher Parish, 20141 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, OH 44114. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, OH.
