Nana,
I can't believe you've been gone for a year!  I know I'm incredibly lucky that I have a lifetime of wonderful memories of you but I still miss you so much.  You made such an impact in my and everyone else in your family's lives.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and thank God that we all won the Nana lottery when it came to you!

Dear God,

Please bless Nana, my role model who teaches me to love people.  Give my role model love and peace.  Help her to have fun in heaven.  I ask this in Jesus' name.  Amen.

Mom,
It is hard to believe that it is almost a year since you have been gone.  You are missed 'today' as much as 'yesterday'. I read the following reflection and it was as if you were speaking to all of your family.

           'Honoring the Void'

O shed a tear or two, if you must, for our time now ended, for dreams unrealized and hopes unfulfilled.  Yet know the love and life we shared remain, even as do you.  For a time.

In memory of me, live to the fullest, for one minute of mindfulness echoes more than a decade of mindless busyness.  As for me, I go on to my next adventure.

Confident the smallest atom in the farthest galaxy obeys God's command, how can we, made of billions of atoms, ever be forgotten?

The One who fashioned us from stardust and seashells and breathed in us a living spirit, creates, comforts and calls us still to rise higher and become more.

And so, despite the emptiness, honor the void in tribute to what once was; Bless the pain, as proof it was real and Light a candle of prayer in the quiet chapel of your soul to dispel this hour's darkness.

And only when you are ready, let go of even this.  Do not be afraid.  I shall live on in your heart as you do in mine and as we do in God's.

Seek me in the sunrise or in the pounding surf.  See me in the autumn leaves or hear me howling in the wintry storm.  Then you will know, as I now do, how yesterday's death gives birth to eternal tomorrow

I never had the honor of meeting the lovely Vasilika but have heard wonderful stories about her and know she was dearly loved. She wil always have a special place in my heart for being so loving to my dear dad, Victor Lewis.

Nana will always be in our hearts! She was, simply put, the best Nana ever! We will always miss her and love her but she left us with a lifetime of happy memories and vividly retold family stories.  Nana was happiest when we were all well and happy, especially our children.  Good bye Nana.  Love you so very much.

We thank Nana for being so great to us.  We were so lucky to have such a wonderful Nana! We will always remember all the special things you did for us and how loving and caring you were to everybody. Nana I Love you so much and will always cherish all the times we had while I was growing up.  I could not have asked for a better great grandma to help raise me. Simply put you are the most wonderful person I have ever met.

I know that this is a little late, but Mrs. Ticco will be dearly missed. I worked at Towne Center as a dining service person and she never complaned. Nana was such a sweetheart and was always smiling. I will miss her so much.

We were soooo lucky to have Nana for our Nana!  She was the sweetest, kindest person we have ever know and we will miss her forever.
