Virginia Bancioiu (nee Miller), 83 of Lorain passed away Sunday January 6, 2013 at St. John’s Medical Center in Westlake. She is the loving wife of Constantin for 48 years and the dear mother of her dedicated daughter, Violet Krempasky and beloved son-in-law Frank. She is the cherished Aunt and Great Aunt to many. She is survived by her brother Earl Miller (Margaret) and sisters Mary Hampu (Andy, deceased) and Aurelia MacCartney (Ian, deceased). She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 infant sisters and her brothers John Miller (Donna, deceased) and Nick Miller (Sylvia, deceased).
Virginia was born in Massillon, Ohio where she worked for Superior Meats and followed the Massillon Tigers and Cleveland sports teams. She moved to Lorain in 1964. Virginia enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She was especially noted for her famous nut rolls and other Romanian dishes. Her family would also like to thank the staff and friends she made while staying at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake.
The family will receive friends approximately 45 minutes prior to the funeral service at the church. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 12, 2013 at 10:30AM at St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 3256 Warren Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44111. Interment at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Cathedral.
