William Wallace Fullerton

Bill grew up in Lakewood, Ohio and graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1960. On August 17, 1963, Bill married the love of his life, Dolores Rae Rossow, "Lori". Their union spanned 62 beautiful years, during which they raised three wonderful children.

Bill worked tirelessly to support his family, spending 31 years in the payroll department at the Chevrolet plant in Parma. Outside of work, Bill was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and the Cavaliers. He could be heard cheering OH-IO during the buckeye games. He rooted for his teams through thick and thin, whether listening to Brian Sipe or Bernie Kosar games on the Radio, or watching the Cavs playoff games in the 90s on his huge, widescreen tv.

His love for dogs and classic cars was evident to anyone who knew him. Bill could often be found in his favorite chair either "talking" with the dog or with her nestled at his feet. Known for his humor, Bill never hesitated to make jokes and laughed along as we teased him for always being late, being grumpy, or being a party pooper. As we sang our teasing song, he had a warm smile and a glint in his eye.

A true family man, Bill cherished time spent with his loved ones. He delighted in sneaking treats to the family dog and loved the holiday season, even keeping the Christmas tree up year-round to enjoy its sparkling bubble lights and shiny ornaments. Bill's favorite foods were cooked on the grill. He enjoyed a rare steak, a cheesy hot dog or a hamburger with ketchup and a pickle on the side. Bill was also a good host, who kept our snack bowls and our pop glasses filled.

Bill and his wife, Lori, always looked forward to their winters "snow-birding" in Florida -- enjoying their Condo in Largo, time on the beach and the friendships made in their building. Lori kept Bill social, with many groups of friends including their monthly bowling league and annual trips to Put N Bay.

Bill was a child at heart. He loved family vacations, especially trips to Walt Disney World (where he was dressed in his signature Grumpy t-shirt). His daughters remember his thrill- seeking nature as he would ride the roller coasters at Cedar Point, play H.O.R.S.E with a basketball in the driveway or family races down the sidewalk with his children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Elizabeth and Richard Andrew Fullerton; his step-father Lewis Derr; his uncle Father Wallace Roth "Unk"; his brother, Richard Fredrick Fullerton; and his son, Michael Richard Fullerton.

Bill leaves behind his wife, Lori; his sister, Mary Jo Root; his loving daughters, Nancy (Scott) Jeggle and Suzanne Fullerton Nock; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Fullerton McHenry; and his treasured grandchildren: Karla (Stephen), Laura, Kathleen (Justin), Sarah Jane (Ross), Connor, Ella, and Alyson. Bill was also a beloved uncle to many.

Bill Fullerton will be remembered for his humor and unwavering love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
