Obituary of Alan Franklin Schaub
IN THE CARE OF

Alan F. Schaub passed away quietly in his sleep May 7th, 2022 at the age of 95. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Alan was born Feb. 9th 1927 in Newark, NJ the youngest of 4 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Mary, his brother, Lester and his sisters, Loretta and Leona.

He grew up in New Jersey where he met his 1st wife, Helen. They were married in 1950 where he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer. In 1955 the family moved to Calif. With their 2 yr. old daughter, Ellin. Alan continued his work at Atomics International becoming Supervisor of Industrial Engineering & Planning. Three more children Dave, Alison and Brad were added to the family.

Alan was always interested is designing and building taking multiple night classes in the field of design & construction which led him to becoming a successful General Contractor in the Conejo Valley in 1967. He started his new career building homes and medical/dental buildings in the Thousand Oaks area. His ability to always put his clients 1st brought him much success. For more than 40 years he was known as a Contractor who was honest, trust-worthy, professional and understanding. Because of this he never had to advertise; every client came to him through referrals and word of mouth. His 2 sons followed him into the Construction business and to this day are still successful because of the positive traits taught to them by their father.

The Conejo Valley was the place Alan loved the most. He became very involved in the community serving as trustee and Pres. of the Timber School Board twice, Director & Pres. Of Lynn Ranch HOA, Director of North Ranch Country Club Estates HOA in Westlake and Bella Vista HOA in Camarillo. He also served on multiple Advisory Committees in Ventura County. Alan was preceded in death in 2008 by his 1st wife, Helen. He is survived by his children Ellin (Bob Nesset), Dave (Lori), Alison King, Brad (Suzanne) Grandchildren Heather, Christopher, David & Sarah; Carter & Colin; and Elias & Andrew; great grandchildren: Makayla, Luke, Decker & Devyn. He is survived by his 2nd wife Christine.
