

Angelita Evangeline Alvarez was born on March 23, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, to Francisco C. Robles and Lucy Moreno. Angelita was the second born child. Her father was a specialist in the dry cleaning business and her mother was a tailor, while residing in Dallas, and owned her on own business as a tailor and worked with famous celebrities in Hollywood, California.
Angelita was raised in Dallas, Texas, until her teen years. After her parents divorce, she relocated to Los Angeles California with her mother and sister Mary. Angelita was class President on Junior High school. Angelita attended Hollywood High school, in which Elizabeth Taylor was in attendance. Angelita loved school. Angelita became a Registered Nurse.
Angelita married Willie O. Williams and had one daughter, Pamela Michelle and continued to reside in Los Angeles. Angelita subsequently divorced. Angelita later married Jesse F. Alvarez and had three more children, Jesse Artemio, Angela Theresa, and Ricardo Rene. Angelita and her family moved to Culver City.
In 1960, 11 months after the birth of her second child, she was in a near fatal car accident with her husband Jesse, daughter, Pamela and son, Jesse. This accident rendered her in a coma for five and a half months (in which she was not expected to survive). Angelita required almost two years of rehabilitation, however, praise God she made a full recovery and subsequently had two more children, Angela and Ricardo. Angelita also returned to full time employment.
In 1966, Angelita and family moved to Simi Valley California, where she and her husband were employed at Litton Industries and owned and operated their own janitorial business . Not only did Angelita work in the business, she was the accountant and managed the financial portion of the business.
After her divorce in 1979, she remained in Simi Valley for a few years, then moved to Thousand Oaks where she resided until her death.
Angelita had experience in a variety of fields. Angelita worked for Hughes Aircraft Company, which made history with the invention of the circuit board. Angelita worked on the circuit boards, as she was good with her hands. This was difficult detailed work which required use of a magnifying glass. Angelita excelled on this job. In addition to this place of employment, as previously mentioned, Angelita worked at Litton Industries. Angelita became a Special needs nurse to children with developmental challenges. A children. Angelita also was travel agent for several years.
In addition, Angelita was active in her church and taught catechism classes for several years.
Angelita lived a good long life with many different experiences. She loved her children, family and life. Angelita was a loving, caring, no nonsense mother. Angelita will be missed for her amazing sense of humor and wit. Angelita was kind, but watch out for her anger. Angelita loved to dance, listen to music, and read. Angelita completed many Word Search books. Angelita also loved to walk, many days she would walk two to three miles a day. Angelita had a charming and boisterous contagious laugh.
Proverbs 31:28 says “Her children arise and call her blessed.” May our mother rest in peace as she walks on streets of gold in her little high heels or sits on a patio in heaven working on her word search books. Her children say, “We love you Mom, you will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for being the amazing wonderful mother you were to us. For teaching us to be responsible people with a work ethic, to love and respect ourselves and others.
Angelita is preceded in death by father, Francisco C. Robles, mother, Lucy Robles and sister, Mary Magdalene Dominguez.
Angelita is survived by three brothers, Frank Robles, Richard Robles, Robert Robles, her children, Pamela Crumpler, Jesse Alvarez, Angela Alvarez and Ricardo Alvarez and his wife, Diane Alvarez, as well as her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece, nephew, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
