

Anthony Donadio, 96, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
Anthony was born January 28, 1924, in Clifton, NJ. He was married to his wife Marian for 71
years before her passing. He and his wife were one of the first families to reside in “The First
Neighborhood” of Westlake Village, 53 years ago.
As a proud Italian American, Anthony was a founding and charter member of the Bella Vita
Italian Club.
Anthony left school at 15 years old and started working full time in his grandfather’s
construction business to help support his mother and sister. At 19 years of age he enlisted in the
US Navy as a Carpenters Mate Third Class and fought in the battle of Iwo Jima.
After leaving the Navy he returned to construction building homes across the United States and
Puerto Rico. It was during this time that he began his family of five children. He retired at age
80 as a construction supervisor for custom built homes in Deep Canyon, Hidden Hills and Hope
Ranch. He was a long time member of the Carpenters Union Local #519.
He touched the lives of everyone he met. He was kind, loving, accepting and genuinely cared for
others. He treated everybody equally. Everyone loved him. Whether he was your friend, your
boss, your husband, your father or your Poppop he will be missed!
He is survived by his 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
