BARBARA (“BABS”) LIPMAN KENT of Woodland Hills, California until recently of Northfield, Illinois, passed away on August 7. 2026 at the age of 96. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 23, 1929 and grew up in Chicago. Babs graduated from the University of Chicago in 1948. She worked as an Executive Secretary in the television industry and then spent most of her life as a Homemaker. Babs was very actively involved in volunteer work at the Nielsen Senior Center of Northfield, Illinois and the Public Library of Winnetka, Illinois. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Sheldon Kent, her children Evan Kent, Lisa Kent and Robert Kent, her daughter-in-law Karen Zak Kent, and her grandsons, Grayson Kent and Justin Kent. There will be a private Celebration of Life later this year. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to the charity of your choice.
