Charles R. (Bob) Martin, 93, passed away on February 22, 2014 in Westlake Village, California where he resided since 1971. Bob was born March 19, 1920 in Austin, Minnesota. He was a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by the love of his life, Irini (Rena) his wife of 52 years, and three children, Sharon, Rick and Roberta.
He joined the Army Air Force in 1941 and served with the US Air Force for over 22 years. He then joined Motorola, C & E, Inc. and served for another 22 years, retiring in 1985. After retiring from Motorola he did Control Center Consulting for a couple of years.
He will be remembered by all who knew him as a man of integrity who inspired others with his kindness, humility and generosity. He had a great sense of humor and was willing to laugh at himself. He invested himself in the lives of all that knew him and created many treasured memories.
A funeral service will be held at Pierce Brothers Mortuary, Friday, March 14 at 2:00 pm. He said he wasn’t going anywhere but try not to be late.
