

The daughter of Anthony and Ernestine Virrazzi, Bridget was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 9, 1916. She was employed as a seamstress by Kiddie Togs for over 25 years. Bridget lived most of her life in Jersey City, NJ with her late husband Harry and their four children before retiring to Middletown, NJ. She later moved to Westlake Village, Ca to be with her daughter and her family.
Bridget was a good traditional Italian cook who loved preparing Sunday dinners for her family which consisted of “ronis”, meatballs and sausage to be followed up by roast chicken. Bridget was an avid reader who also possessed a love of poetry. Among her many favorite poems is Daffodils by William Wordsworth. She was a wonderful story teller as she enjoyed sharing childhood memories of her summers spent on her Aunts farm in NJ.
Bridget was so loved and adored by her family: daughter Alice and husband Al Bird of Westlake Village, Ca, son Harry Varsalone and his wife Jacqueline of Somerset, NJ, son Robert Varsalone and his wife Anna Marie of Pembroke, NH and the late Thomas Varsalone of Hollywood, FL. She was beloved “Nana” to her 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In death she joins her husband Harry, son Thomas, granddaughter Elaine, grandson Brian and Brothers Fred and John Virrazzi and their wives.
Viewing will be held at 8:30am Wednesday, January 27th at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Mortuary at 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am at St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church 32032 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361.
Bridget loved all children and they her. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to her beloved Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church Sixth Street Jersey City, NJ.
