I trust that a few days ago you and your beloved Paugie were reunited. I've been imagining the radiant joy of your reunion. Bliss. Perfect love. And yet, for us the living, this kinda sucks. You are so, so missed! Saying goodbye to Pauline closes a chapter of our lives and all those plans we planned. I feel cheated and I cry, but the thought of the love -- the love we shared - the love you shared -- soothes my heart and dries my tears. I am so, so glad that Pauline got her prince back. I love you, Dad.

Papa, each day is darker without you. You are the sun and we are the darkness, lost and confused without your warm light. But that's okay, because we form enough light to get by with the warmth you store within us.

Luckily, Paugie is no longer in darkness, but is now in the warm and loving light with you. So please, from wherever you two watch over us,

Chris you were always so great to talk with. I will miss our talks, you always took the time to listen. I will miss the meals we had with you and Paugie telling stories and your constant stream of jokes. I am so thankful we had you and my Mom marry us what a great memory. I enjoyed travel with you to London and South Africa and endured the loudest snoring I have heard in my life.
I still keep thinking you are going to walk through the door, you are greatly missed by me and so many others. I hope that I make such an impact on so many people.

You are one of the kindest people I have ever meet. I aspire to impact others lives the way you have. You leave behind people who are better because we had the chance to know you. There really are no words to describe how much we all miss Chris.  I have so much respect for the father he was to David, and the grandfather he was to Paxton. He was patient, kind, loving, fun and consistent. Before he was my father-in-law he was my friend.  I could talk to him for hours.  If I had a question about religion or music he was my go to guy.  He never got tired of my silly questions.  Chris had a light that pulled people towards him and life seems less bright without him.

Though his passing is such a tragic and sad event, all I can think of is the great memories and happiness Chris gave and shared with me, my family and anyone he knew or met. He meant so much to every member of our family, and everyone around him. His heart was the biggest and most generous of any person I've ever met. He is truly a man who will live on in the memories he gave to all of us.

Chris was a friend indeed. He was the type of guy who would do everything he could for you if you needed help. I know because he did that for me, and with Pauline's blessing. All with a smile on his face as if it was a pleasure for him to serve you. In fact to be around Chris was to feel like you were with your greatest admirer. Such was his warmth, spirit and enthusiasm.

When people pass on, it is common to exaggerate their qualities. With Chris, you could ever say enough. I love and miss him so.

Chris was an angel here on earth....I figured that out the day he met my Paugie. Only an angel could put that kind of sparkle in somebody's life. Thank you for loving Paugie with your whole being. Paugie, we love you soooooo much and will always be here for you.

Sadly, I cannot think of any specific memories to share. I am just consumed with thoughts about Chris's giant heart, gentle spirit, and transparent self. I grew up with Chris in my life and believe that I was able to grow and learn through his openness and sharing. He was always loving, never judging, and listening to every word said. I am also amazed how, even though I was a teenager, whenever he spoke I listened (and I didn't listen to much!). Chris leaves a forever impression on me that I treasure. His life has been cut too short, but I am so happy that his life was a loving and happy one with his soul mate and amazing wife, Pauline. I love you Chris. Chris is one of those people that makes you ask yourself, "How was I so lucky to know this person?" Don't ask. It's a Gift. I send Blessings to the entire Family that they'll all be amazed at the speed of healing they feel because Chris will always be a breath away with his comforting, joyful presence.

My best memory of Chris is from a couple of years ago when we were both regulars at Bill Daniel's home meeting.  As was mentioned in the Memorial on Saturday, Chris was usually late because of traffic coming over from his work.  I often led a couple of worship songs on my guitar to get the meeting started.  But at the end of the meeting Bill would likely ask Chris to lead us in a worship song a capella.  I never knew until Saturday his background in music.

My best memory of Chris was at Dad and Nancy's wedding.  We were up until all hours of the night, and I was getting slap happy and laughing uncontrollably.  Chris came over to me, laid his hands on me, and said "demons be gone", because I am sure it sounded like I was being possessed.  This made me laugh even more.
