Born May 21, 1926 in Los Angeles, CA to Thomas and Alma Alsup. Claude attended Kindergarten through High School in Los Angeles. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps reserves in February of 1944. He was called to active duty in July 1944 and was discharged in May 1946. During his service he was a nose target gunner on a B24 Bomber. He did not see combat, but he was in training when the war ended. Claude met Margaret Joyce Aselin prior to joining the Air Corps, and they got married on November 23, 1946 after his discharge from the military. Claude attended college and was an assistant pastor in a church for many years while also working in Aerospace Engineering Administration for over 30 years. Margie passed away in 2004 after almost 60 years of a wonderful marriage. Claude lived in the Cal Vet Home in Ventura from July 3, 2012 to July of 2022 before moving to the Cal Vet Home in Fresno, CA. Claude leaves his son William and his wife Laura, as well as dear friends Bill and Rhonda McGarrah and many more good friends.
