Connie Morkunas of Thousand Oaks, CA passed away on January 14, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born on February 21, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois where she grew up with her Father and Grandmother. She met her husband of 58 years, Bernard, at St. Maria High School.
Connie raised four children, Kathleen, Loretta, Jennifer and Bernie, Jr. When they were grown, she enjoyed working retail and seeing her grandchildren Jillian, Derrick, Cameron, Melanie, Matthew and Jonas.
Connie had one sister, Alice Slapinskas who is still living in Illinois. Connie was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was caring, loving and selfless. Her family was her life.
Interment will take place at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park on Feb 12, 2026.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in San Diego, CA on what would have been her 80th birthday February 21, 2026 at 11 am.
