Dear Carolyn:

My deepest and sincere condolences. to you and your family. I just received the information. It is never too late to honor such a great person. The immense sadness that was felt in my heart is not easy to put into words. I have always considered him as a great and good person. Over the years we lost touch with each other. In my mind he is and has been the best boss and friend to myself and my family. I would consider him my best friend in this life. He will be forever be in my thoughts and prayers as long as I live. Until we meet again in heaven with our Lord. The joy brought to my family will never be forgotten.

Have to say Curtis was my first friend when I moved with my family to Southern CA many years ago.  I was so very homesick for the Bay Area, but found new joy and meaning working for the Festival Silent Auction under his direction.  Curtis always inspired people and had such great joy in life.  Truly a wonderful and holy man.  His wife made a great team!  Well, years later, I co-chaired a Festival Silent Auction.  It was one of the best fundraisers I ever worked on using all I learned from Curtis on what makes a great event years ago!  Miss him! Leslie Lenko

Unfortunately, I can't locate my favorite photo of Curt taken Christmas Day one year. He'd opened a present I'd given him and Carolyn, a holiday doormat. He was laughing and looked happy to have received it. 

So instead, he's another photo of Curt and Carolyn taken in the backyard of my old house during my graduation party. 

I'll always remember Curt's love of family, good times, and laughter.

My love and prayers go out to you all. So many memories of Mr. Lorenz flood my mind. My earliest memory is of him filming all the games from high in the stands. I always wondered, "what does one do with all that film?"  He treasured supporting his children. On a family vacation, we once survived Lake Mead's fury, leading to a grand time in Las Vegas. Wherever Mr. Lorenz was you were sure to have fun even if plans changed. He never let us down. His contagious laugh and his deep love for others will be greatly missed. 

Dear  Carolyn, please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of Curt. He was a wonderful , fun loving guy and so much fun to be with. Peggy spent a lot of time with Lisa and Mr. Lorenz treated her like one of the Family.  Blessings, John and Marge Janicek.

Carolyn,  Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family.  Curt will be missed by many friends including Joan and I.  Always cherished Curts smile, thoughtful words of encouragement when we saw both of you at Sunday mass.  
   At the Men's Club meeting, Curt was always glad to sit at the table with the same group of friends, recounting many stories and moments in time with the 'guys'.  Many stories, with just as many highlights.   
   As some time goes by let us know how we can help you in the future.

I met Curt through his kids and have known him for years.  He was an openly loving and very caring father, wonderful to be in a room with, jovial, great sense of humor, great husband and a man of faith.  We suffer now for losing his companionship, but God willing we will enjoy fellowship again with him in Heaven.   Miss you already, big guy.  You did good, and I will tip glasses in your honor.
I pray that God ease your families sorrows, and will see you later.

My heart goes out to Carolyn and the entire Lorenz family.  I grew up with my dear friend Lisa and always felt like I was part of the family. Curtis aka “Mr. Lorenz” was always smiling and joking around. I will have fond memories of him always. ❤️

Dear Carolina and Family
we are so sorry about your loss, Curtis was a great Man and a good Friend. I will miss talking to him.
We have a lifetime of Memories from making deliveries with his Truck to lots of Camping  and fishing trips. You never let us pay for the gas in your boat. We never made it to Texas for the big Steak.
I will never be able to forget your Birthday.
