WHEN I’M GONE

When I come to the end Of my journey And I travel my last weary mile, Just forget if you can, That I ever frowned And remember only the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken; Remember some good I have done, Forget that I ever had heartache And remember I’ve had Loads of fun. Forget that I’ve stumbled And blundered And sometimes fell by the way. Remember I have fought Some hard battles And won, ere the close of the day, Then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day…

Remember the good times And the smiles And my on-going love for all of you.

Dave: You will be missed by those who loved you and knew you. I know your humor and wit will be missed.

I've looked at this again and again, even though I'm very familiar with all of the pictures. This poem does me in every time I read it. It is SO appropriate. Dad was always so there; I'm having trouble processing that he's not just in the other room.

I love looking at this. I remember a lot of these from my growing up years, and enjoy seeing the ones from before my time. I love all the pictures of Grandpa with kids or being silly. He is truly missed! Love, Kira
