Born and raised in Cashmere, WA, Demetre attended Arizona State University, becoming tennis champion. Traveling to Europe in 1952, he met the love of his life, “Lula” Milonas, whom he married in Greece. The couple settled in Springfield, MA, where Demetre joined the Air Force, assisting in OSI assignments for the General Staff. They eventually settled in Wenatchee, WA and opened famed “Siracos” restaurant, eventually taking over his father, Konstantine’s restaurant “Siracos” of Cashmere. Jim and Lula were known for their delicious fare, hospitality and love for their Wenatchee community. They retired in 2001, moving to La Quinta, CA to be near their son, Konstantine, residing in Los Angeles.
Demetre is survived by his loving wife, Lula; his son, Konstantine; and his loving family and dear friends.
