Dorothy was born in Chicago, IL in January 1932. She met Skip in high school, and they married as Skip attended the University of Illinois and Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper. While Skip pursued his career as an engineer and entrepreneur, she was his solid support. They traveled from Chicago to Connecticut to Pennsylvania and finally settled in California while making many lasting friendships along the way.
Starting in 1954, five children would complete their family. Dottie was a loving mother and took special joy in her 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Along with the love of her life, Skip, Dottie is now reunited with daughter Patricia and son Bruce who predeceased her. She is survived by her sister Sharon, daughters Christine and Susan, and son Richard.
We will miss her stories, her sense of humor and her bright smile. We know that she is surrounded by her loved ones in a special spot that God prepared for them in heaven. She is free at last from the painful arthritis and dancing once again with Skip. We wish to thank all her special caregivers that helped her for so many years.
