It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Evergates shares of her passing on September 14, 2018 at the age of 88.
Dorothy will be very much missed and lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Olga Christianson, Heather(Harriet) Evergates and Anthy Price as well as by her two sons-in-law Ron Christianson and Ben Price. In addition with much love and sadness by her niece Tanya Contos, her newphew George Triant, and her seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexis, Jonathon, Sawyer, Courtney, Thea and Marika, four great grandchildren, Alita, Hunter, Mackena and Archer. Dorothy has now joined her husband of 34 years, John Evergates, who tragically passed away on November 15, 1984.
Dorothy was born on November 1, 1929 in Boston, Mass. Her parents, Harry and Marika Babalis were first generation Greek Americans. She lived part of her life as a child in Athens, and again when she worked at the American Embassy. She had a career in the fashion industry for many years in Los Angeles and San Diego.
She spent her retirement for the last 22 years in Westlake Village California, as an active bridge player, dog lover (Charlie) and world traveler, but especially as an amazing mother and grandmother.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park, 5600 Linder Canyon Rd. Westlake Village, California, 91362. After the services a reception for family and friends will be held at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Ben and Anthy Price.
