Dorothy J. Kirby, 88 years old, of Thousand Oaks, passed away on April 9, 2013, at Mary Health of the Sick in Newbury Park. For the last 6 years she has lived in Thousand Oaks, after living in Pompano Beach, Florida for the previous 33 years. Though she left many good friends in Florida, while in Thousand Oaks she made many new friends, attending her Baptist Church and the Thousand Oaks Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert and her youngest son, Lance. She is survived by her son Kent Kirby, daughter-in-law Kathy Kirby, her niece Ginney Slingland, and her grandchildren Ryan Kirby and Eric Kirby.
Dorothy will be missed by many and remembered for her humor and feisty ways.
We will miss you Mom, Rest in Peace.
A celebration of her life will be held April 21st, 2013 from 1pm to 4 pm at her home in Thousand Oaks.
