

Our mother Echo Walin Kukuchek, 93 of Ventura California passed away on February 14, 2022. Mom loved and was loved by many. We have many beautiful memories of her that will lift us up during this time of sadness and reflection. She was a very caring mother and friend and will always be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
She was born in Gresham Oregon and spend her younger years living on the family berry farm with her parents and going to school in rural Oregon. She went away to Oregon State College where she met her husband George Kukuchek and they were married and honeymooned at the lodge on Mount Hood in 1949. She traveled extensively with her husband due to his career with Shell Oil and lived in California, Utah, Colorado. Louisiana, Texas, New York and the Netherlands. She was blessed with four sons Mark, Scott, Paul and Bruce. She was predeceased by her son Scott in 1992 and her Husband George in 1996.
She attended the First United Methodist Church of Ventura and was active in many church groups and activities. She and her husband were very active musicians and participated in many choral organizations and concerts. She and her husband were both avid travelers and toured the entire world from Russia, China, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. She is survived by her three sons, two daughters in law, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Gone too soon she will be missed by many. A memorial service in her honor will be held at a future date at the Ventura First United Methodist Church, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Ventura First United Methodist Church.
