She was born Eileen Dauer, the daughter of Fred and Arline Dauer in Springfield, MN on May 30, 1958. She grew up alongside her 3 brothers Fred, Richard, Duane and sister Kathy. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1975 before moving to Ventura County in 1978 where she resided the rest of her years. On March 12, 1983, Eileen married Ron Johnson in Las Vegas, Nevada and they were happily married for 30 years. She took joy in many things in life but most of all she loved being a stay-at-home mom while raising her three children: Lindsay (29), Brandyn (26), and Brooke (23). Being a mother was her greatest pleasure. She was the most kind and selfless person who touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Eileen felt blessed to be able to involve herself in every aspect of her children’s lives that included their academics, athletics and social circles. She would do anything for her children and each one considered her their best friend. Her love of children went beyond just her own which led to her career at Colina Middle School and Westlake Hills Elementary. Eileen also enjoyed spending time outdoors on family vacations to the lake, beach, and sporting events but her daily joy was spent walking and playing with her three grand puppies Punkin, Mya and Mauer. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and has always been an active member at her church. Unfortunately she was never able to fulfill her final dream of seeing her children marry and become a grandmother.
In Lieu of flowers, donations made to ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) would be an appropriate and appreciated way of celebrating her love of animals. Please visit ASPCA website (https://donate.aspca.org/Donate) and make a memorial gift (at bottom of page) in honor of Eileen Johnson.
The mass will be held at St. Paschal’s Baylon Church on Saturday June 1, 2013 at 12: 30pm and the ceremony of life will follow in the church auditorium. At 3:00 pm we will head to Pierce Brothers Memorial Park for the final resting of Eileen Johnson.
