Ethel Lean Nelson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. She was 91 years old.
Ethel stood as a pillar of strength to her family. Ever present in the lives of her children and grandchildren, Ethel loved being informed of the goings on in the lives of all her posterity. A loyal Dodgers fan she took many friends and family to enjoy her season tickets with her. After the death of her husband Frank, she continued his legacy of hard work and integrity as California car dealer number 13. Despite the difficulties she faced in life, her faith in God sustained her. She gave countless years of her life serving the members in her church congregation and community. She was always helping someone. Her family is saddened by her passing, but overjoyed knowing of her reunion with her sweetheart.
Ethel’s husband predeceased her by 45 years. She is survived by her children Karen Smith, Christie (Steven Banks), Terry (Kenny Hatch), and Steven Nelson (Gracie), 21 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. They invite you to join them for a funeral service held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2121 E Route 66, Glendora, CA on Saturday, August 7th at 1 pm
