Frank Allison Turner died on September 27, 2011 after a valiant struggle with pancreatitis, at home and surrounded by his family. He lived in Newbury Park for 44 years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joan, by his daughters, Allyson Martin and Brenda Finster, by his sons, Frank III (Yuliya) and Christopher (Charla). He also leaves four granddaughters, Sigrid Finster, Katryne Turner, Annica Martin, and Emily Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Velda Turner, his sister, Velda West, and his first wife, Delores Strathkoetter Turner.
Born in Pasadena, California in 1936, he was a graduate of California Lutheran University with an MBA. Frank taught business and computer skills at vocational schools. He also taught science at the high school level. He enjoyed collecting old radio and television shows. He loved comedy, musicals, and science fiction. He spent many hours gardening and working on his projects, including a 1955 Ford pickup truck he restored with his son. He is loved by his family and will live on in our hearts.
