Jim’s loving parents were Barney and Hazel, and he was born and raised in Van Nuys, Ca. He attended Hayvenhurst Grammer School, and Birmingham High School being the first class to Graduate there, and Quarterback for their football team.

Jim loved his family, Roxie, Jaime, Leann and Russ. And he adored his Grandkids, Derek, Kevin and McKenna. Jim married Roxie and they just passed their 55th Anniversary. He also loved Fishing, Camping, Broncos Football, The Angels Baseball, his Backyard Birds, Squirrels, the fall leaves in the High Sierras and his Brand New Truck! And he enjoyed being mistaken for Tom Selleck while we were in Hawaii in the 80’s. The family got quite a kick out of that.

Jim learned his trade of Plumbing and being a Contractor from his Dad, Barney. He was in the plumbing business for 45 years and retired in 2003. They owned a few horses early on in their marriage and Jim was in the Sheriff Posse for 10 years, riding his horse to look for lost hikers most of the time.

The last few years Jim and Roxie enjoyed sitting in the back yard watching all their wild birds, hummingbirds, squirrels and a few invading crows!

Jim’s life was full of Love. We will all miss him so much. He was a huge presence in our lives. We will never forget his warm smile, generous ways, and sense of humor at our expense.

Love you Jim

Jim and Roxie were our neighbors 44 years ago when we first came to Agoura Hills. Jim was always there with advice, great stories of growing up in Van Nuys, examples of how to handle problems, his love of the outdoors and sports, and his example as a great Dad to 3 children close in age to our children. Roxie was always willing to share her time and life with us. They ended up being so much more than just neighbors. We will miss Jim and his wonderful smile and think of him every day, week, and year. RIP, Jim. You made a difference in our lives.
