This is the other Dirk van Tamelen in Michigan, for years I was meaning to find out where you'all lived phone numbers and ect. Looking on my phone computer under Christian name. I was sad to hear of his passing I loved him as a brother not as a cousin I would liked to be in Los Angeles I lived there for a few year cost to much money not finishing high school, Me and Chris lots in common serving in the military.only find out our family in California passing on the internet. Please keep In touch some how know -ing our families who are not close as we should, I like to make that not true some time.

Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures of Chris. Vicki, you were Chris's Guardian Angel, always looking after him... always caring for him. I'm sure he knew how lucky he was to have you in his life! 

I will always remember Chris as being the most gentle, kind hearted man. His face would light up when he was in the good company of his family... and especially when he was with his lovely Lark. You can see it in all the pictures, his immense love for his daughter. 

Bob and I are here for you both in the days to come... and please give our love to the rest of the family. Chris is in our thoughts & prayers and may you all be comforted by those special memories you shared as a family.

George and I will remember the many thanksgivings when we saw Chris and his happy face and all the family being together

Chris, always the big older brother. He was  always on the go, often away and doing big,  brother things. As a young teenager lived 200 miles from family with four years at military 
school. Then after graduation, quickly swooped off to the real boot camp and then 2 years in Vietnam, volunteering to go with training buddies.

You have always showed the brave side of the family yet kind enough to always be of assistance to anyone, anywhere, anytime with no selfish concern of your own. 

Be sure to say hi to Mom, Dad, Dann  and Pongo (always the family dog) 
for they will happy to see you and no doubt, keeping you busy as always.

We love you, we will miss you and will all see you again one day.

What fond memories I have of my big brother-in-law. Always a huge smile and hello every time we met. Eager to tell us the latest news about his grandchildren and beautiful daughter & son-in-law. There will forever be a smile on my face when thinking of Chris. My love goes to all!
