Jay Morton Friedman, born to Morrie and Evelyn Friedman, was a loving, kind, and generous soul, cherished deeply by his family. He was adored by his grandparents Max and Eva Bloom, affectionately known as Bubi and Papa Friedman.
He was much loved by his brother Ronnie, late brother Alan, sister-in-law Darlene, sister Lynn and her late husband, Mel.
Jay's children brought him much joy—Steven and his wife Susan, Gary, Jill and her partner Daniel, Briny and his wife Lani, Matthew, Barrie Rose and their partner Laurenzo. His grandchildren, Lexi, Dean, and Max, will always carry his memory in their hearts.
A proud graduate of El Rodeo, Beverly Hills High, Menlo College, and the University of Southern California, Jay lived a life rich in friendship, family, and sports. He excelled as an athlete, playing football and baseball, and later found a love for paddle tennis and beach volleyball at the Sand and Sea Club.
Jay was deeply loved by the love of his life, his wife, Jill.
Jay's curiosity, generosity, and passion for life made him fun, interesting, and always interested in the world around him. He will be profoundly missed. Life will never be the same without Jay, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
