Jeanne Bendot

Jeanne Bendot, 95, of Camarillo passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2025, at Mary Health of the Sick nursing home in Thousand Oaks, CA. She will always be remembered for her love of God, love of family, love of the LA Dodgers and love of Neil Diamond.

Jeanne was born on June 8th, 1930, in Washington PA, near Pittsburg. She graduated from Washington High School in Washington PA. She graduated from Business school.

On January 20, 1951, Jeanne married her husband, Joe, and began a life together that would go on to span 57 remarkable years. The following year she and Joe made their first trip to Ventura County. In 1955 Jeanne and Joe moved to Santa Monica CA. That same year, they moved to Camarillo, CA. Jeanne was a homemaker until her kids were of age to be on their own. She then worked at Somis school as a health clerk. Next, she worked with the Marines in an administrative role at Point Magu Naval Base. She was actively involved in the Camarillo Women’s club and was the President for several years.

Jeanne is survived by sons, JP (Jeri) and Gary (Martha): daughter, Lorna (Frank) and grandchildren, Joshua, Michael and Chris.

The viewing and rosary will be held from 2-5 P.M. Monday July 28th at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park/Cemetery 5600 Lindero Canyon Road Westlake Village, CA 91362. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 29th, at Saint Mary Magdalen Chapel 2532 Ventura Blvd, Camarillo, CA 93010. Followed by burial at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park/Cemetery. Following the burial at Pierce Brothers in Westlake on Tuesday 7/29/2025 there will be a reception for us to gather at Ric’s Restaurant and sports lounge in Camarillo on the front patio. 2500 Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA 93010, please RSVP with Lorna at (805) 312-5562 so we can plan accordingly, thank you and we hope to see you there to celebrate our Mom.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a Parkinson’s Association.
