Jennifer Mae Morgan of Woodland Hills, CA, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 67. Jennifer was born on October 10, 1957, in Poughkeepsie, New York. Jennifer lived in Orlando, Florida, followed by Royal Oak, Michigan, then Sierra Vista, Arizona and finally, Thousand Oaks, California.
In Thousand Oaks, she attended school at Weathersfield Elementary, followed by middle school at Waverly School, and then graduated from Thousand Oaks High School in 1975.
Jennifer became active in the social activities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS). She was baptized in the Newbury Park Stake of LDS in December of 1974.
She enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1975 and was honorably discharged in 1977 achieving the rank of Lance Corporal.
After her military service, Jennifer remained in California for the rest of her life. Because of her health challenges, she lived in assisted-living facilities where she received supportive, kind care.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John C. Morgan and Margaret H. Morgan. She is survived by four siblings: Ellen A. Lones, Richard J. Morgan, Thomas J. Morgan and William D. Morgan; Niece: Carrie E. Lones, Two Nephews: Sean Morgan & Brandon Morgan, and Sisters-in-Law: Heidi Morgan, Robin Morgan, and Fran Hinojosa.
Jennifer had a keen wit, and big smile, and she was a good sister and friend. She loved to walk and visit the local stores and restaurants nearby. She loved cats and had many throughout her life. At one of her assisted-living facilities she would take an extra plate of food outside to feed the stray cats and kittens that lived behind her building. Jennifer also loved flowers, especially gardenias. She enjoyed sewing, reading travel and gardening magazines and catalogues, and watching television.
The family would like to thank her assisted living caretakers for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days. Beth Wells from the Veterans Administration, and Kathy and Ben Chidester were especially helpful in her last years. The family extends its gratitude for all the time, and the material and moral support generously given.
Interment took place at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, Westlake Village, CA, where Jennifer is near her parents’ gravesites. She received military honors at burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Veterans or Mental Health charities.
