JoAnn was born in Clemons, IA September 3, 1925. She attended high school in Sterling, Ill,
and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Western Illinois University.
She was teaching first grade in Des Moines, Iowa when she met John, her husband of 57 years. JoAnn
moved often due to John's work while raising three children, then spent past 26 years in Thousand Oaks, Cal.
JoAnn was active in her church at Thousand Oaks. She enjoyed playing golf and creatively decorating her home with
items she collected over the years. Christmas was always a favorite time with JoAnn
as she enjoyed decorating every room of her house and hosting many Christmas parties at her home.
JoAnn is survived by her husband John; her three married children; John Schock Jr. (wife Karen),
Ann White (husband Rex) and James Schock (wife Karen); Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
