After a hard-fought battle with a rare blood disease called Myelofibrosis and tremendous care from the doctors and staff of City of Hope National Medical Center, John V. Fenton passed away in the early morning hours of September 24th, surrounded by his family.
He dedicated his life to improving healthcare standards and practices, particularly for those in need. He was greatly respected in his field, and his compassionate nature earned him many friends and allies throughout his career.
He is survived by his wife Stella, his children John Joe, Jennifer and Kim, grandchildren Camryn, Kendall, Eliza and Jack, brothers Dennis and Bob, sister Pat and an enormous loving group of cousins, nieces, nephews, sons-in-laws, a daughter in-law and a very best friend. He was a loving man not only to his family, but many other individuals who considered him part of their own family.
He was beloved by all who knew him.
