

John was born in Colver, PA on April 10, 1933 to Edwin and Georgia (Ensbrenner) Kavanagh. John met Elaine (Cherry) while living in Bellwood, PA and were married in 1957; they were married for 59 years.
John proudly served his country in the Untied States Air Force, at 17, from 1951-1953. He worked at Northrop Corporation in Newbury Park for 20 years; many years as Manager of Quality Assurance.
John loved his family and his home; he enjoyed all the creative things he did to make his home beautiful. He loved doing crossword puzzles and among his many talents are the many paintings which proudly adorn our home. His many other creative talents can be seen in the landscaping of our home.
He is survived by his wife Elaine; sons J. Dale of Tucson, AZ; Jeffrey of Newbury Park, CA; and Mark of Grants Pass, OR. Grandchildren; Seana; Marissa; Jonathan; Brennah; and Michelle Kavanagh. Great-grandchildren; Kayla and Christian. Sisters; Regina Tebolt; Margaret Taylor; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law plus many nieces and nephews.
We thank God for the moments we all shared with him and are comforted by the fact that he is Safely Home with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Celebration of John’s life will be on Thursday, July 7th at Pierce Brothers, Valley Oaks, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA 91362. 818.889.0902. Services will be in the Chapel.
