I am so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. My prayers go out to family friends. I served with Joe in the Navy. He was a go getter, hard worker. We had a few beers together, had a few words, he told me I needed to loosen up. He was right, I was up tight, and he was loose and laid back. Shocked to hear of his departing. Fair Winds and Following Seas shipmate. Rest in peace Joe.


On His Passing: I have met very few people so totally alive and in the moment than Joe Herbert. Friend and fellow attorney, so many of our conversations sprang out of spontaneous meetings in the halls of the courthouse and spilled over into lunch and sometimes beyond. He adored his son Sam beyond measure, was so very much in love with his fiancée Melissa, and had so many plans for the future of them all! It is one of life's saddest ironies that those with so much to live for can be taken from this life so suddenly! Bless you Joe! Friend you will always be. AJR

May you fly high with the angels. I know you will be terribly missed by so many. My heart is broken knowing that we will never have the chance to meet again (on this earth anyway). I wish we would’ve talked more, I wish I could’ve been there to validate feelings that I know burdened you. I’m sorry. I’m so incredibly thankful for the time we did get to spend together. On the day when your family and friends say their final goodbyes, my heart is with them. I’m especially sending so many thoughts of love, comfort and peace to Sam, your Dad, Tobie, Jess and Melissa. Joe was truly an Exceptional man. I feel honored and glad to have reconnected with him after so many years. He was always trying to help people and make their lives better. He will be sorely missed.
