Kristian Sava Malenkovic (Kiki) was born in Thousand Oaks, California on December 16, 2009. Kristian passed on to His Heavenly Father’s arms while in his sleep, on October 31, 2016, after a short illness while visiting with his family in Munroe Falls, Ohio. He is survived by his parents, John and Nela Malenkovic; his two sisters, Tatiana and Ivana; his grandmother Olga Slepcevic; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kiki will be missed by all whose lives he touched in his short time on Earth.
Kiki was always willing to help when he saw the need, and always ready to offer a comforting, "You okay?" if he saw someone in discomfort, he gave the most sincere hugs to all who needed one. He was a little gentleman who always helped out by opening and closing doors for anyone he could. Kiki loved to celebrate life with a smile, a high five or a fist bump. Although Kiki was considered a boy of few words, his voice and thoughts could always be felt and heard. He enjoyed chasing his friends and cousins, rolling balls on the pool table, watching his family and friends by the pool and riding his tricycle around the block with his father in tow.
Kiki attended White Oak Elementary School in Westlake Village, California. He made many friends there, including his teachers, specialists, and staff. All of the caring people at White Oak, too numerous to mention, enhanced Kiki’s childhood and provided him with love and dignity in his life and also in his passing.
Kiki’s favorite hymn was “Safe In The Arms Of Jesus,” and we trust that he is, indeed, safe in heaven with our Lord and the many other loved ones who preceded him in death.
Kiki’s short yet memorable life was a gift from God that will remain in our hearts forever.
