Leonard and Emily Fischer, second-generation German-Americans, welcomed their daughter into the world on September 6, 1924 and named her Lenore “Lee” after her father, Leonard. Lee loved her hometown of Belleville, NJ and made many fond memories along the New Jersey Boardwalk with her siblings: Ruth, Dolores, Clarence, Gloria and Robert.
During World War II, she worked at the Army Air Corp in the Records Department. During this time, she met her husband, Raymond Scott. Raymond and Lee moved to the San Fernando Valley with their children: Raymond, Susan and Dawn, where they later welcomed their youngest daughter, Lisa. Lee enjoyed her family, trips to Santa Barbara and visiting New Jersey to see her sister, Gloria and her nieces and nephew: Patricia, Michael, and Barbara.
She worked for West Valley Community Hospital in Encino, CA for 30 years as a Cardiologist Technician Supervisor. In 1991, Lee moved to Clovis, CA with her daughter, Lisa, son-in-law, Dan and her grandchildren, Kelly and Paul. She lived in Clovis until her passing.
In her retirement, Lee spent much of her time with her grandchildren: Allison, Amy, Rebecca, Christopher, Kelly and Paul. Her family gave her much joy which was accentuated with 15 great grandchildren: Ashley, Anthony, Drew, Tyler, Brandon, Cameron, Bella, Blake, Emily, William, Ricky Jr., Kaiden, Kaitlyn, Rounen and Darin; and one great great grandson, Mason. She was lovingly known as “Nana” to all.
She loved us and we loved her. In her words, “It’s never goodbye”.
We would like to thank all of her doctors, nurses and friends who kept fighting by her side.
